I’m Isabel, the lead designer and owner of A Lily Among Thorns.
Like many floral designers, my creative journey began elsewhere. Poetry and prose originally kept my mind and heart busy, but as a true creative, after a decade of dedication to literature, I needed more to explore.
Drawn to movement, color, and emotion, I found my medium in floral design.
Influenced by the Impressionist masters, my work reflects a painterly approach: layered, intentional, and rich with texture and tonal depth. I design the way they painted: capturing feeling over precision, atmosphere over constraint, and the beauty of what is real rather than what is forced into perfection.
Floral design is both my canvas and my language. I create immersive, art-driven floral experiences that balance refinement with organic expression. My signature style embraces natural form, elevated composition, and a nuanced palette that feels timeless, modern, and evocative.
